Hunter Biden’s former business partner has come out and said that they’ve witnessed him talk to his father, Joe Biden, about a deal with a Chinese energy firm. This deal would have seen the former vice president receiving a share of the profits in exchange for political influence.
In a statement to the New York Post on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Tom Bobulinski claimed that the discussion he witnessed between the elder Biden and his son contradicts claims made by the former.
“I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business,” Bobulinksi said. “I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.”
According to Bobulinski, the Chinese were pursuing the deal as “political or influence investment.” Meanwhile, Hunter Biden was using the company as a “personal piggy bank,” taking the money out as soon as it came from the Chinese.
In his statement, Bobulinski claimed that the company, called Sinohawk Holdings, was established in secret in Delaware in 2017. He states that he was initially brought into the company to be its CEO.
In his position as CEO, Bobulinski was one of the recipients of an email from a business partner of Hunter Biden regarding a deal with a Chinese energy firm. The email stated that said Chinese energy firm would be giving a 10 percent cut to “the big guy.” (Related: Biden family mired in pedophilia, collusion and corruption.)
According to Bobulinski, the “big guy” is Joe Biden.
“Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my Chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing,” Bobulinski said in his statement.
Bobulinksi also explains how he realized that the Chinese were not really focused on getting a healthy return on their investment. Rather, they were looking at the deal as a political investment.
He also claimed that when he discovered that Hunter Biden was withdrawing the money being put in by the Chinese, he took steps to prevent that from happening.
Despite these, Bobulinski claims that it was only when Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson made his report on how Hunter Biden profited off their family name that he realized that the Bidens had gone behind his back.
At the end of his statement, Bobulinski says that he “doesn’t have a political ax to grind.”
“I just saw behind the Biden curtain and I grew concerned with what I saw,” he said. “The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist controlled China.”
Responding to these latest accusations of inappropriate dealings with foreign companies, Joe Biden said that they were simply a “last-ditch” effort by Republicans.
“It’s the last-ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family,” the Democratic presidential nominee said in an interview with WISN 12 News.
In particular, Biden focused on Sen. Johnson, who made the latest report that inspired Bobulinski’s own statement. He pointed out that other Republicans, notably Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, have stated that the report had no basis.
“Even the man who served with him on that committee, the former nominee for the Republican Party, said, ‘there’s no basis to this,’” Biden said. “And you know and all and the vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there’s no basis at all. Ron should be ashamed of himself.”
Johnson, however, has continued to criticize Biden. During a recent interview with Fox News‘s Sean Hannity, he doubled down on his position that Hunter Biden and other family members “profited off the Biden name.”
“What we revealed in our 87-page report is a vast web of connections with Chinese nationals, with people all over the world. Again, trading on the Biden name,” said Johnson in the interview.
In addition, Johnson took aim at mainstream media for “suppressing” the story, something he called “a scandal in and of itself.”
